We execute combined cycle and cogeneration gas-based power projects on a lumpsum turnkey basis. We have an excellent track-record in implementing projects in India and overseas, with extensive experience in executing turnkey contracts for independent power projects, utility projects as well as captive projects. The business has established its credentials as a leading EPC contractor in India and has the capability to execute gas-based power projects with state-of-the-art H Class and J Class Gas Turbines.

We offer vertical and horizontal Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) for heat recovery from gas turbine exhaust gases. The range includes unfired, fresh air-fired and supplementary fired HRSGs up to triple pressure levels, with or without reheat. it has capability to execute HRSG for latest state of the art H class and J class Gas turbines.
So far, L&T has supplied more than 20 (vertical/horizontal) HRSGs for gas turbines ranging from 20 MW to 233 MW. L&T also has the distinction of having supplied the largest HRSG in Asia (9FA gas turbine, fired, 3P with reheat for the Vemagiri project).
Our collaboration with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Japan, has helped us enhance our design and manufacturing capability for steam turbines, that are used in advanced class gas turbine combined cycle plants. The JV is capable of supplying these steam turbines at ratings of 150 MW and 300 MW.
CRITICAL PIPING
We have a large pool of experienced piping engineers, specialised software, and state-of-the-art manufacturing set-up for carrying out critical piping work for power plants. Our capability includes alloy steel piping for high pressure and high temperature steam conditions, feed water systems and complete power cycle piping in boiler and turbine islands.
HEAT EXCHANGERS
L&T also supplies heat exchangers and vessels for power plants as a part of BTG projects. We have proven experience in design, manufacturing and delivery of high-pressure and low-pressure heat exchangers, condensers and de-aerators.

L&T offers rich experience spanning over 2 decades in designing and execution of cooling towers. We specialise in both Induced draught cooling tower (IDCT) and Natural draught cooling tower (NDCT), and have successfully commissioned cooling towers with capacity of over 400,000m3/h in capacities varying from 600m3/h to 65,000m3/h.
